Pocket Holsters
Galco pocket holsters attach to the front pocket of a pair of pants, slipping inside the pocket and hooking around the outside rim. The Galco gun can then be slipped inside the pocket, as long as sufficiently loose pants are being worn. The holster is made of stiff leather, so the Galco gun itself never forms an outline on the outside of the pants and the weapon can be easily concealed. The holster also retains its shape whenever the Galco gun is drawn, so that the weapon can be put back in with one hand.

In most cases, the ability of a gun holster to retain its shape is very important. Versions made with soft materials may fold inward upon themselves when the gun is drawn, making them unsuitable for battle, though easily portable. Soft versions are often used for sporting pursuits, as the ability to re-holster a gun with one hand is not of supreme importance in that area. For law-enforcement and military personnel, however, hard-sided versions are needed that retain their shape when the gun is withdrawn, as both hands may not always be available to re-holster the gun in tense situations.
