Hunting Spotting Scopes
In hunting, spotting scopes help reveal the contents of the woods from distances of up to 800 feet away. Basically short range telescopes, spotting scopes for hunting have legs or stands attached to the bottom that allow them to be set up on rocky terrain, grassy areas, wet terrain and other extreme environmental locations. By viewing the woods or other hunting area from a distance, animals can be seen without letting them know a hunter is present.
Once an animal is observed through the spotting scope, the rifle can be deployed to take a shot at it. The spotting scope can be used to help the hunter line up the shot, or a hunter may choose to attach a rifle scope that will put cross hairs on the target for more accurate firing. If it is necessary to get closer to the target before firing on it, the spotting scope can be used to keep an eye on the target and track it through the woods until the hunter is close enough to fire on it.
